The Ivorian Diaspora in India Celebrated from October 17 to 19, 2025

“A strong diaspora, a shared future”  under this theme, the Ivorian Diaspora Day was celebrated from October 17 to 19, 2025, in Uttar Pradesh State, precisely in Greater Noida.

Organized by the Federation of Ivorian Associations in India, with the support and blessing of the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in India, this second edition lived up to all expectations.

Over three days, Ivorians in India participated in panel discussions, sports activities, and cultural performances, showcasing the beauty and diversity of Côte d’Ivoire. These activities allowed Indian guests and other African communities to discover the country’s rich culture and growing potential.

According to Mr. Yao Kouadio Marc Sylvestre, President of the Ivorian Students Association in India and a BSc student at Reva University, this second edition builds on the success of the first, which was widely praised by participants. He expressed his deep appreciation to the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in India for its continued support and involvement in this event.

Certificates of participation were also presented to several attendees as a token of appreciation for their commitment and contributions to the success of this edition.

During his meeting with the Federation, H.E. Eric Camille N’Dry, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to India, praised this initiative as a genuine showcase of unity and solidarity among Ivorians abroad. He encouraged the diaspora to remain exemplary, promote a positive image of their homeland, and respect the customs and traditions of the host country.

The Ambassador also reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Ivorian students in India, ensuring their well-being and successful integration.

This celebration stands as a significant milestone in strengthening the ties between Ivorians in India and their homeland — a vibrant symbol of unity, pride, and national identity
