The American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d’Ivoire (AmCham-CI) officially kicked off its 2025–2026 activities on Thursday, September 18, 2025, during a gathering held in Abidjan-Cocody.

At the event, AmCham Côte d’Ivoire President Félicia Djibo presented the organization’s vision and strategic priorities for the coming years, extending even into 2027. She emphasized that this gathering was more than just a launch  it was a reflection of the strength and energy of the AmCham community, which remains committed to building an even stronger partnership between the private sectors of the United States and Côte d’Ivoire.

Félicia Djibo noted that as 2026 approaches, AmCham is entering a new strategic phase marked by evolving global challenges. In this shifting economic environment, the Chamber’s ambition remains clear: to be a key partner in advancing economic, commercial, and social cooperation between the two countries.

She outlined a strategic framework built around advocacy, access, and advisory. Advocacy is about representing members by identifying industry challenges, defending their interests, and working with public authorities to co-create practical solutions. Access involves creating new platforms that connect members directly with key decision-makers. Advisory services aim to equip members with data, analysis, and tools that facilitate decision-making, trade, and investment.

Félicia Djibo also reaffirmed the Chamber’s commitment to strengthening trade and promoting new investments between the U.S. and Côte d’Ivoire, especially in high-potential sectors such as digital economy, agriculture, industry, energy, and infrastructure.

These efforts are closely aligned with four priority areas of cooperation reflecting U.S. policy: education, inclusion, health, environment, and cultural exchange. For AmCham Côte d’Ivoire, economic growth must go hand in hand with creating a positive and lasting impact on local communities.
