The Capable Generations Movement (MGC), led by Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, has reacted to the dissolution of Côte d’Ivoire’s Independent Electoral Commission (CEI), calling for an inclusive dialogue to rethink and reform the country’s electoral system :

This decision represents a significant step in the process of electoral reform in Côte d’Ivoire. It paves the way for the establishment of a truly independent body, ensuring transparency and credibility in future elections.
The MGC welcomes this initiative and calls on all political and social forces to actively participate in defining the modalities for creating this new institution.
