The Election Observation Mission of the Council of the Entente, led by Afo Ousmane Salifou, was received on Thursday, October 23, 2025, by the members of the Constitutional Council in Abidjan-Plateau, headed by Chantal Camara Nanaba.

According to Afo Ousmane Salifou, the visit is part of a spirit of solidarity and cooperation, which are core values of the regional institution.

“At this crucial moment in the democratic life of our sister nation, Côte d’Ivoire, it was important for us to observe the entire electoral process from start to finish,” he stated.

The head of mission also praised the key role played by the Constitutional Council as the guarantor of the regularity and legality of the electoral process.

“We came to discuss the legal and procedural measures and mechanisms put in place to ensure credible, fair, and transparent elections,” he added.
