The candidacy file of the President of the Pdci-Rda, Cheick Tidjane Thiam, for the 2025 presidential election was officially submitted on Sunday, August 24, 2025, to the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) at its headquarters in Cocody, 2 Plateaux.

In the absence of Thiam from the country, the documents were handed in by his Chief of Staff, former minister Alain Kokotré Kouakou, acting on behalf of the candidate. This step marked a significant moment in the campaign, demonstrating the commitment of Thiam’s supporters.
