The Democratic Party of Côte d’Ivoire – African Democratic Rally (PDCI-RDA) announced on Thursday, July 3, 2025, in an official statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Dr. Emmou Sylvestre, the alarming disappearance of Mr. Henri Joël-Ndri Kouadio, President of the party’s School and Student Youth wing (J-PDCI).
According to information released by the party, Henri Joël-Ndri Kouadio has not been heard from since Wednesday, July 2, 2025. He is unreachable on all his phone numbers, and the searches conducted by both the party and his relatives have so far yielded no reliable information regarding his whereabouts or health status.
Persistent rumors suggest a possible abduction by unidentified individuals. In light of this extremely concerning situation, the PDCI-RDA expressed its "deep concern about the safety and physical integrity" of its young activist, described as a key figure in the party’s youth movement.
In its statement, the PDCI-RDA called on the Ivorian authorities to act urgently. “We urge the competent authorities to deploy all necessary means to locate Henri Joël-Ndri Kouadio,” the party stressed, highlighting the young leader’s commitment and driving role within the political organization.
The seventy-year-old party also called on its members, supporters, and all Ivorian citizens to remain united and vigilant in the face of what it describes as a “disregard for fundamental rights.”
In this statement, the PDCI-RDA reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of the rule of law, emphasizing that “no one should be persecuted for their political opinions” and that “the security of every citizen is a sovereign obligation of the State of Côte d’Ivoire.”
