Côte d’Ivoire – Botswana: a strengthening strategic partnership
Cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Botswana is gaining new momentum. On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Tiémoko Meyliet Koné held talks with Ms. Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, Botswana’s Minister of Minerals and Energy.
Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration in the extractive industries and energy sectors, as well as preparations for SIREXE 2026, where Botswana will be the guest of honor.
Beyond the event, both countries are pursuing a shared vision: leveraging their experiences, enhancing the value of their natural resources, and creating new economic opportunities.
“Under the leadership of Presidents Alassane Ouattara and Duma Boko, Ivorian Botswanan cooperation is reaching a new milestone,” the Vice President stated, emphasizing that Africa moves forward when its nations join forces.
