The Head of State Receives Letters of Credence from Four New Ambassadors Accredited to Côte d’Ivoire

The President of the Republic, H.E. Alassane OUATTARA, received the Letters of Credence from the Ambassadors Seyed Gholamreza MIRMOHAMMAD MEIGONI of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Roberta DI LECCE of the Italian Republic, Alhassan ABU of the Republic of Ghana, and Katrin MÅNSSON of the Kingdom of Sweden.

The Head of State warmly congratulated them, wished them success, and assured them of the Government’s support in carrying out their missions in Côte d’Ivoire. President Ouattara also reiterated his commitment, alongside that of his Government, to strengthen and diversify friendly and cooperative relations with their countries.

The four diplomats, for their part, praised the exceptional quality of bilateral relations between Côte d’Ivoire and their respective countries and pledged to work toward further strengthening them. Ambassador Seyed Gholamreza MIRMOHAMMAD MEIGONI of Iran committed to consolidating cooperation with Côte d’Ivoire in economic, cultural, scientific, educational, and sporting fields. Ambassador Roberta DI LECCE of Italy expressed her intention to strengthen the partnership between Côte d’Ivoire and Italy and to promote increased Italian investment in the country. Ambassador Alhassan ABU of Ghana highlighted the Strategic Partnership Agreement between Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana and pledged to deepen cooperation, particularly in security, trade, and economic sectors. Ambassador Katrin MÅNSSON of Sweden praised Côte d’Ivoire’s ongoing economic transformation and emphasized her country’s desire to support this process through a mutually beneficial partnership.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister, Director of the President’s Office, Mr. Fidèle SARASSORO; the Secretary General of the Presidency, Ms. Masséré TOURÉ-KONÉ; and the Secretary General of the Ministry of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr. Évariste Koffi YAPI.
