On February 10, 2025, Ambassador Davis Ba joined Minister Kobenan Kouassi Adjoumani and local authorities for the inauguration of the Jessica Ba Davis Nursery School in Béoumi. This project, supported by the Foods’co SA Foundation and the American Chamber of Commerce in Côte d'Ivoire, marks a significant milestone in the partnership between the United States and Côte d'Ivoire, highlighting both nations' commitment to education, innovation, and economic development.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Ba praised the impact of Foods’co SA, which, in addition to supporting this educational initiative, plays a key role in creating jobs and the local processing of cashew nuts. The company helps boost the local economy while adding substantial value to the American market. The Ambassador emphasized that such initiatives serve as a model for shared prosperity and a strong bridge between the two countries.
The opening of this nursery school is more than just a new infrastructure—it represents an investment in the future of young generations and stands as a symbol of active cooperation between the United States and Côte d'Ivoire. This collaboration stands out for its long-term impact on both education and the local economy, opening new avenues for a more prosperous future for the people of Béoumi and beyond.
This project also highlights the shared vision for sustainable development, where education and innovation go hand in hand with creating new economic opportunities. A beautiful example of what a strong partnership between nations can accomplish for shared growth and well-being.
