On Saturday, February 11, 2025, Ivorian students from the Uttar Pradesh Ivorian Association (UPIA) visited the Seva Group Foundation NGO in India. They brought clothing, food, and hygiene products to support vulnerable children, including orphans and abandoned children, who are cared for by the NGO. The Seva Group Foundation works daily to improve their living conditions.
This initiative was not only a gesture of gratitude toward India for its hospitality but also an expression of responsibility by young individuals ready to help disadvantaged children, no matter the location. Laetitia Abé, a third-year bachelor’s student in International Business with a specialization in Accounting and Finance (ACCA UK) at Sharda University in Uttar Pradesh, and the president of UPIA, stated: “Vulnerability knows no borders, which is why we must fight it everywhere. Every small contribution can help someone in need.”
For these Ivorian students, this humanitarian gesture is an opportunity to leave a positive impact during their time in India. They hope to make this initiative sustainable, reaching even more people, and, when leaving India, to feel proud of having contributed to reducing vulnerability, even in a foreign country.
