President Alassane Ouattara Meets OIF Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo in Abidjan

President of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Alassane Ouattara, held talks on Monday with the Secretary-General of the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF), Louise Mushikiwabo, who is in Abidjan to attend the General Assembly of the International Association of Francophone Regions (AIRF).

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss key issues related to the promotion of the French language, regional cooperation, and sustainable development within the Francophone community.

Louise Mushikiwabo's visit reflects the strong ties between Côte d’Ivoire and the OIF, as well as the country’s active role in advancing the values and objectives of the Francophone space.

The AIRF General Assembly has brought together representatives from various Francophone regions to strengthen cooperation, share best practices, and explore innovative solutions to common development challenges.

Côte d’Ivoire continues to position itself as a leading actor within the Francophone world, promoting dialogue, solidarity, and economic development among member states and regions.
