The Head of State held talks with the Deputy Managing Director of the IMF

The President of the Republic, H.E. Alassane OUATTARA, held talks on Tuesday,
10 February 2026, at the Presidential Palace, with the Deputy Managing Director
of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Mr. Kenji OKAMURA.

The IMF Deputy Managing Director indicated that he had very fruitful and productive
discussions with the Head of State, during which they addressed issues relating in
particular to the global economy, ongoing reforms, and shared challenges.

He also emphasized the willingness of Côte d’Ivoire and the IMF to further strengthen
their already excellent cooperation and to explore other opportunities and means of
working together in the interest of the Ivorian people.

It should be noted that the Minister, Chief of Staff to the President of the Republic,
Mr. Fidèle SARASSORO; the Minister of Economy, Finance and Budget,
Mr. Adama COULIBALY; and the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic,
Mrs. Masséré TOURÉ-KONÉ, took part in the meeting.
