The spokesperson of the Rassemblement des Houphouëtistes pour la Démocratie et la Paix (RHDP), Adjoumani Kobenan Kouassi, announced that the ruling party has significantly exceeded expectations in collecting endorsements, a mandatory step for validating candidacies.
“We went beyond the required quota for collecting endorsements,” said Adjoumani Kouassi Kobenan during a press conference held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Abidjan-Cocody.
He took the opportunity to commend the commitment of party members and the nationwide mobilization. According to him, this performance not only reflects the party’s strong presence across all regions of Côte d’Ivoire but also the continued trust that the population places in the RHDP and its candidate, Alassane Ouattara.
The spokesperson reminded that the reform of the Electoral Code requires candidates to gather a minimum number of endorsements from elected officials or citizens, an obligation designed to legitimize candidacies and strengthen the credibility of the electoral process. “Not only have we met this requirement, but we have also demonstrated that our party is solidly structured and widely supported,” he added.
With two months remaining before the presidential elections in Côte d’Ivoire, Adjoumani Kouassi emphasized that surpassing the quota sends a strong signal to political opponents. “The RHDP is ready and determined to enter this election with confidence and to win,” he affirmed.
