The President of the Pan-African Congress for Justice and Equality of Peoples (COJEP) and the Pan-African International, Charles Blé Goudé, has made a solemn appeal to Ivorians ahead of the October 25, 2025 presidential election. Speaking from Abidjan-Cocody on Thursday, October 23, he urged voters to mobilize for a peaceful and dignified democratic transition.
“The change you hope for will come from your hand in the ballot box. The transition will come from your courage and determination,” declared Charles Blé Goudé during a press conference.
The COJEP leader emphasized each citizen’s responsibility in the electoral process, reminding voters that no election is won in advance. In his view, abstention always benefits the ruling party.
“Staying at home and refusing to vote only encourages complacency and paves the way for our opponent’s victory. Failing to collect your voter card or to cast your vote means supporting the ruling party’s candidate and securing his victory through complicity,” he warned.
Condemning the idea of a fourth presidential term, Blé Goudé called on Ivorians to turn out en masse on election day.
“The time has come! Let us go out in large numbers to say no to the status quo. Because on Saturday, October 25, 2025, it won’t just be a vote — it will be a referendum to say no to a fourth term,” he stated.
Convinced that political change is within reach, Blé Goudé openly expressed his support for Dr. Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, the presidential candidate of the Generations Capables Movement (MGC).
“Let us vote for change, transition, hope, transformation, forgiveness, peace, dignity, and national reconciliation — for reason and hope. Let us vote for Dr. Simone Ehivet Gbagbo,” he urged, calling on his supporters to “stand as one” and fulfill their civic duty.
