At the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), held from August 20 to 22, 2025, in Yokohama, Ivorian Prime Minister Dr. Robert Beugré Mambé expressed his satisfaction with the growing interest in Abidjan as a regional base for several countries, including Japan and other major Western nations.

“I can assure you that countries like #Japan and all major Western countries are considering Abidjan as a regional hub. This shows that Ivorians are skilled, serious, and inspiring,” said the Prime Minister at the conclusion of the high-level conference.

TICAD 9, which brings together heads of state, ministers, and economic actors, also witnessed the signing of several strategic agreements in key sectors such as health, transportation, education, environment, agriculture, and digital technology.

These developments reflect the international recognition of Côte d’Ivoire’s capabilities and professionalism, while opening new avenues for economic development and investment in the country and the region.
