1st International Extractive and Energy Resources Fair (SIREXE): President Alassane Ouattara Opens the Event

On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, President Alassane Ouattara presided over the official opening ceremony of the 1st International Extractive and Energy Resources Fair (SIREXE) at the Abidjan Port-Bouët Exhibition Center. Organized by the Ministry of Mines, Petroleum, and Energy, the event is themed: "Sustainable Development of Extractive and Energy Industries: What Policies and Strategies?"

According to Minister Mamadou Sangafowa-Coulibaly, the event brings together 30 ministerial delegations, over 1,500 delegates from 50 countries, and more than 300 exhibitors.

The Kingdom of Norway, the guest country of honor and a global model for natural resource management, adds prestige to SIREXE 2024. The event also features the distinguished presence of Kashim Shettima Mustapha, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, a global and African leader in the extractive and energy sectors.

SIREXE includes a variety of conferences, panels, and exhibitions showcasing key players in the sector. The event will run until December 2, 2024.
