The cotton and cashew sectors, key pillars of Côte d’Ivoire’s agricultural economy, are at the center of the logistics priorities of AGL Côte d’Ivoire, Abidjan Terminal, and Côte d’Ivoire Terminal. The three operators are taking part in the second edition of the National Days of Cotton, Cashew and Shea Producers (JNPCA), held at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Foundation in Yamoussoukro under the theme:
“Strengthening the resilience and competitiveness of the Cotton, Cashew and Shea sectors for more professional producers.”
Bringing together more than 7,000 visitors, producers, industrial players, exporters, and public decision-makers, the event serves as a strategic platform to showcase logistics solutions that support the processing and export of Ivorian agricultural products.
Integrated logistics solutions for stronger value chains
During the event, AGL Côte d’Ivoire is highlighting a multimodal logistics system covering the entire value chain, including road transport, warehousing, container stuffing, documentation management, and transit formalities. This approach is designed to ease the movement of cotton and cashew from production zones to international markets, particularly in Asia and Europe.
The group relies on a dense territorial network with logistics bases in Abidjan, San Pedro, Bouaké, and Ferkessédougou, close to production areas. It also operates more than 100,000 square meters of warehouses dedicated to cotton and cashew. Between 2024 and 2025, these facilities handled 141,719 tonnes of cotton and 92,891 tonnes of cashew nuts, strengthening the country’s processing and export capacity.
A secure and efficient port chain
Through synergies among its subsidiaries, AGL provides fully integrated solutions from farm to vessel. The port terminals Abidjan Terminal and Côte d’Ivoire Terminal play a key role by ensuring smooth export flows, supported by weekly berthing windows for shipping lines.
Certified by TAPA for cargo security, AGL also enhances performance through innovation, with digital solutions dedicated to flow and pallet management. These tools improve traceability, optimize inventory, and help reduce operating costs, offering a competitive edge to Ivorian exporters.
A strategic lever for sector industrialization
According to Asta Rosa Cissé, Regional Director of AGL Côte d’Ivoire–Burkina Faso:
“AGL supports the structuring, modernization, and competitiveness of cotton and cashew value chains, now among the most strategic agricultural sectors in Côte d’Ivoire. By leveraging the complementarity of our expertise, the performance of our infrastructure, and the commitment of our teams, we deploy integrated logistics solutions tailored to the challenges of processing, export, and value creation.”
Through this strong mobilization, AGL and its subsidiaries reaffirm their role as key partners in Côte d’Ivoire’s agricultural industrialization, contributing to more sustainable growth and better value addition for local production.
