Côte d’Ivoire Unveils Its 2026–2030 National Development Plan
The Minister of Planning and Development, Souleymane Diarrassouba, presented the National Development Plan (PND) 2026–2030 on Friday, June 12 in Yamoussoukro to the prefectural corps, local authorities, as well as traditional kings and chiefs.
By bringing together these key actors of local public action, the government is laying the groundwork for the implementation of the PND, anchored in territorial realities and as close as possible to the populations.
The prefectural corps ensures the presence of the State in regions, departments, and sub-prefectures. Local authorities carry out public action at the community level. Traditional kings and chiefs contribute to social cohesion and public acceptance. These three actors form the implementation chain of the PND across the national territory.
The plan represents 114,838.5 billion CFA francs in investments over five years, structured around six strategic pillars, with a single objective: to elevate Côte d’Ivoire to the status of an upper-middle-income country by 2030.
“This Plan belongs to the entire Nation. The government will ensure its implementation with rigor and will report back to the population. It is within the territories that the objectives of the PND will become reality, with the women and men who carry public action, maintain social cohesion, and support communities on a daily basis. This is why we chose to present it here in Yamoussoukro, the political capital of Côte d’Ivoire,” said Minister Souleymane Diarrassouba.
This Yamoussoukro event is a preparatory step toward the Consultative Group meeting scheduled for July 8–9, 2026 in Abidjan, which will bring together technical and financial partners, institutional investors, and the private sector around the financing of the PND 2026–2030.
