Under the historic setting of the Tangier–Tétouan–Al Hoceïma region, a meeting focused on cooperation and shared vision was held on June 16, 2026, between Mr. Oumar Kadaoui, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM, regional section), and Ms. Audrey N’Kpeoudjé, Director of the Côte d’Ivoire Tourism and Leisure Office in Morocco.

Alongside them, Ms. Wafae Brick, Public Relations Advisor at the Ivorian Consulate, played a key role in facilitating institutional dialogue.

A South–South partnership dialogue

This meeting is part of broader efforts to promote Côte d’Ivoire as an international tourism destination. It reflects a shared commitment to strengthening ties between West Africa and the Kingdom of Morocco by linking tourism, leisure, and investment.

Ms. N’Kpeoudjé presented Côte d’Ivoire’s tourism assets and investment potential, including tourist circuits, investment opportunities, cultural diversity, and its renowned hospitality. These elements portray a vibrant and dynamic destination ready to attract both visitors and investors.

Unlocking opportunities

Mr. Oumar Kadaoui expressed strong interest in the Ivorian tourism ecosystem after discovering its potential. He highlighted multiple opportunities for development, value creation, and business expansion.

He also expressed his desire to organize joint cultural and gastronomic events to give investors a deeper experience of Côte d’Ivoire’s attractiveness.

Toward a mission in Côte d’Ivoire

Beyond discussions, Mr. Kadaoui expressed interest in visiting Côte d’Ivoire to experience firsthand its landscapes, projects, and economic dynamics.

He also encouraged stronger cooperation between CGEM and the Ivorian Tourism Office to reinforce partnerships with Sub-Saharan Africa.

From Tangier to Abidjan, this dialogue reflects a growing alliance where investment meets culture and tourism becomes a bridge between peoples.

Côte d’Ivoire, enriched by its landscapes and hospitality, continues to position itself as a land of opportunity, ready to write a new chapter of South–South cooperation with Morocco.
