Madam Solange Amichia, Director General of the Centre de Promotion des Investissements en Côte d’Ivoire (CEPICI), welcomed on Friday, October 10, 2025, a Guinean delegation led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Directorate of Economic Diplomacy of Guinea.
The visit, part of a study mission to Côte d’Ivoire, aimed to learn from the Ivorian experience in setting up Guinea’s own Directorate General of Economic Diplomacy.
Held under the theme of experience sharing and sub-regional cooperation, the discussions allowed the Guinean delegation to gain deeper insight into the Ivorian model for investment promotion.
“We came to learn from the Ivorian system in order to build an effective structure for economic diplomacy,” said Jean-Justin N’Gbichy, Director of Economic Cooperation at the Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For her part, Madam Amichia welcomed the initiative, emphasizing that “investment promotion and economic diplomacy are part of the same ecosystem.” She underscored the importance of synergy among public institutions to better attract investors and improve the business climate.
The Director General also presented CEPICI’s core missions, highlighting the Centre’s ongoing efforts in digitalization, streamlining procedures, and reducing business creation timelines — key pillars of Côte d’Ivoire’s investment appeal.
Discussions also focused on mobilizing the diaspora as a driver of investment. Madam Amichia presented CEPICI’s Diaspora Support Program, which facilitates investments by Ivorians abroad through a structured framework and dedicated support mechanisms. The Guinean delegation expressed interest in adopting a similar approach to harness the potential of its own diaspora.
This visit marks another step in the ongoing cooperation between Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea, both members of UEMOA and the Francophone Investment Promotion Agencies Network (RAPI-UEMOA), chaired by Madam Amichia.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to pursue technical exchanges and establish a bilateral collaboration framework between CEPICI and Guinea’s Investment Promotion Agency (APIP).
