Relations between Ghana and France continue to strengthen across multiple areas of cooperation. This dynamic was highlighted during the One Health Summit held in Lyon.

Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama co-chaired the summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. During the event, he presented the objectives of the Accra Reset initiative as part of the One Health agenda.

On the sidelines of the summit, official meetings took place between authorities from both countries. The Ghanaian Head of State held talks with the French President as well as the President of the Senate, highlighting the shared values between Ghana and France.

Furthermore, Ghana was designated as the first beneficiary of France’s health compact, according to statements made following these meetings.
