AFCON 2025 Campaign in Morocco: The "Village Eléph’Fan" Project Launched in Marrakech as the Official Ivorian Supporters' Zone and a Platform to Promote Côte d’Ivoire

With just 93 days to go before the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) kicks off in Morocco, the Ministry Delegate for Sports and Living Environment, through the National Committee for the Support of the Elephants (CNSE), has officially launched the Village Eléph’Fan project in Marrakech. This initiative is designed to be the official space for Ivorian supporters — a hub for celebration, cultural exchange, and the promotion of Côte d’Ivoire as a destination.

The official launch took place on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan-Plateau, during a press cocktail attended by Technical Advisor Roland N'Gbofai and the Director of Communications of the Ministry Delegate, Hadja Rima Touré. Also present was Julien Kouadio Adonis, President of the CNSE.

The initiative includes the Eléph’Fan digital platform, which streamlines the entire supporter experience — from visa applications to life in Marrakech and the return journey to Côte d’Ivoire. It also features maquis-style fan zones for match viewing, recreating the vibrant atmosphere of the CAN back home, complete with culinary stands offering authentic Ivorian cuisine.

The project also includes an exhibition space running throughout the tournament, with dedicated stands for Ivorian artisans and businesses — showcasing the country’s craftsmanship, creativity, and economic dynamism. Two Ivorian-Moroccan B2B Days will be held as exclusive networking events to boost South-South cooperation, generate economic opportunities, and further strengthen the already strong ties between Côte d’Ivoire and Morocco.

“The 2025 AFCON in Morocco is fast approaching. This tournament will be more than a sporting event; it will be a reflection of our national identity, unity, and international presence. The success of the Elephants depends not only on the players and coaching staff — it relies on a national mobilization where everyone has a role to play. Let’s make this AFCON the one where the Elephants claim their fourth title,” urged Roland N’Gbofai.

Hadja Rima Touré added, “It will be a showcase for Côte d’Ivoire in Morocco, but also a moment of unity and brotherhood with all of Africa and our friends around the world.”

CNSE President Julien Kouadio Adonis announced several key initiatives, including a nationwide awareness and mobilization caravan in partnership with the Union of Cities and Municipalities of Côte d’Ivoire (UVICOCI), and visits to various partners and officials to help set up and animate CAN Villages in cities across the country.

“Supporter cards will be distributed, and a lottery will be organized soon. Four winners will join the CNSE in Morocco to experience the AFCON live,” announced Julien Kouadio Adonis.

AFCON 2025 will be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026. Côte d’Ivoire is in Group F, alongside Cameroon, Gabon, and Mozambique.
